Evening all. Today after deep consideration, and after test driving Volvo XC40/60 R design Pros B5s, followed by a Formentor, I came to the following decision. Even though I loved the luxury of the XC60 and was so close to placing an order, I decided to test drive a VZ2 after watching and reading a number of reviews. Initially I wasn’t overwhelmed by the interior compared to the Volvo and believe Cupra could have done a a lot more with the scratchy plastics. But then these are 2 very different cars. I have to say it’s been a long time since a car has genuinely put a smile on my face. I loved the performance, looks, handling and sound, in as much I placed an order for a VZ3 this afternoon in Graphene Grey. Only downside to this, is the 14 weeks lead time in being built. There’s a lot of interest in this car according to the company I lease from. Can’t be a bad thing. Just wanted to say hi and look forward to being part of a select group.

I was also looking at the XC40 and opted for the Cupra (VZ2 though) for pretty much the same reasons as you. I ordered back in Jan and the wait has been painful but just over a month to go!!!

XC40 was very disappointing after reading all the reviews. However the Formentor was a car I knew I would enjoy every day and look for an excuse to drive. At least you haven’t got long now!! Where as I think this is going to be a long wait lol

Great choice. Like the other reply I looked at exactly the same cars, XC40/60 but whilst they're both considerably more expensive, I wasn't sure they offered much more. The XC40 for example doesn't even have a reverse camera unless you opt for the Inscription version.

Formentor is slightly smaller so bear that in mind but it's lovely to drive and a nice place to be. It's a definite head turner, the amount of people who turn around to look at it when you drive past is hilarious
