Sounds a good plan to me. But if you do find in 2 years time that you can afford a 3 year old Seat Leon TFSI FR DSG drop me a line![]()

Joking apart, the Ibza will be a good start as a young driver! I do not know your personal circumstances but with young drivers "bank of mum and dad" tends to play a big part in first motors, especially in respect of insurance!

On the insurance note, my brother passed his test recently, and found that his insurance was much cheaper when on my mums policy as an additional driver, the only problem there being that he wont build up a no claims bonus and risks losing my mums no claims. But it allowed him to insure a Golf MKIV 1.9 PD115!
Anyway, we really should get back to the topic! Model cars...
Model cars! I cannot advise as I said earlier!
Your response tends to indicate "DO NOT TRY TO GIVE GOOD ADICE TO A TEENAGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

True,
Unless your mum goes with someone like "Direct Line" which will allow named drivers to "build" there own no claims as "named drivers" Please note that "Direct Line" will not appear on any "Insurance Search" link because you must deal with them personnaly.
