All I have in the car is a an old damn iphone 4 dock I believe. I think this was down to a customer decision when the car was bought, am I correct? If I buy an adapter to fit the dock will the car recognise my android phone? This is driving me damn crazy because I find the head unit absolutely obsolete without a USB or aux port. So before I rip it out and buy a new one could anyone shed some guidance and wisdom? The car is a 2009 seat leon fr tfsi. Thanks :)

I believe someone else tried this with the iPhone dock an wasn't successful.

Sounds like a new headunit to me or buy an iPhone :)

God damn, all I want to do is put music onto the HDD or play it via aux at the worst. I got rid of my cds years ago. I think that's the only way I'd get music saved on there now. The head unit is going then, quite a shame as I like the navigation and radio screens on it and it plays dvds at a good quality "(

Have a search for Denison aux adapter or connects2 devices. They plug into the back of the headunit where the disc changer would go.

I had one on my old A3 which worked a treat
