Adapting Wireless Android Auto on Ibiza KJ1

Hello everyone!

I own an Ibiza "KJ1" FR Plus and noticed that the forum seems a bit outdated, without a specific section for this model, though it’s probably not too different from the MK6.

Car comes with Android Auto, but I’ve already damaged the phone port due to constantly plugging and unplugging the cable. So, I’m looking to install an adapter to make the system work wirelessly. After some research, I found that the Motorola MA1 seems to be the best option, with no connection issues, and I’m planning to buy it. CarPlay is straightforward and only requires a modification using the ElevenOBD, unfortunately, Android Auto needs an additional device because it requires higher data transmission for proper functionality..

Now, my question is: has anyone here disassembled the infotainment system on this model? I’d like to know if there’s a hidden USB port somewhere or how add one because the USB-C area near the gear shift is very cramped. The phone barely fits, and if I connect the adapter, there’s no space left. Ideally, I’d like to hide the device elsewhere if possible.

Thanks in advance!

Had an Ibiza previously and bought "AA wireless", was working perfectly.
The device had to be connected with cable, so I could stick it a bit further.
In this way there was still all the place for the phone.
