This morning I left for work and my iphone wouldn't connect on the USB port in my car. The phone is charging fine from the USB port but when I press the media button it just says no media and wont even allow me to switch to AUX.

If I put a CD in the radio and then press the media button it allows me to select USB/AUX but then just comes up with no device.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a faulty headunit or USB module?

Sorry for asking but are you connecting the iPhone using the Y cable with the little box of tricks in the middle? With the iPods you need a connection to both USB and the AUX in connectors. You cannot just use the cable that came with the phone.

Sometimes but not always I have to swipe the unlock on my iPod Touch (latest version IOS 5) when connected for the media to load.

Yes I'm using the official Seat Y cable, it's worked great for 2 years. I just plugged a USB stick into the socket and it seems to have reset the system as its all working again now. Very odd as this problem has never occurred before.
