no rear silencer, pass mot?

the other day my exhaust rotted through on the back box, and i am a bit short on cash atm....so i repaced the rear section from where it comes over the axle so its got all the silencers apart from the very back one. will this effect emissions or mot in anyway?.....its all clamped on and secure so any thoughts?

it shouldnt exced a certain decibel but a back street garage mite let it slip wiv a advisory if your lucky. you could always dig deep nd sort the problem lol

its not actually loud, it sounds quite nice if im honest. i have had louder exhausts which have passed, just worried about emissions lol

Not having a back box wont affect the emissions the cat does that, the back box is just a silencer.

I was told that all parts of the exhaust need to be present for the MOT or it will fail as my exhaust is pretty loud with the cat and all silencers on and I was worried the noise would fail but fortunatley it passed

if the backbox is present and rotten then yes this is a certain faliure i can assure u! sorry

as long as it does'nt exeed the legal dB level it wont fail
