Hi. I have a 2022 1.0 TSI Sportstourer 6 speed manual and it’s recently developed a persistent, annoying whirring / humming sound more audible to the rear of the car as soon as the engine starts. Apparently, it’s expected to hear something initially as the low pressure fuel pump primes (I hadn’t noticed before) but it’s started to persist in my car for a long time after engine start. It sometimes dies down after about a minute or so but seems to run on and on usually. No matter how long the journey, it seems to always be there as soon as I pull in away from road noise and listen or when stop/start starts the car again. My local dealer took the car in, couldn’t see a service bulletin for it, and sent their findings off to SEAT (telemetry, recording of noise) so I’m waiting to see what they say. Has anyone had anything similar? Thanks.

Does it help you? I have some kind of whine from rear, only when gas pedal is not pressed, stationary or deacelarating without gas - sound changes with rpms.

Replacement pump solved the issue with the near constant pump noise. I could hear the new pump for a short time after starts/restarts as you would expect. I have a 1.5 tsi now and that's what it does. I probably notice it more than others because I had the issue with the last car.

Thank you. I have 2.0 tsi 228 kW but it may be the same problem. Dealer told me he cant hear anything, but I will try it next time. In my opinion the sound is getting louder and louder by time.

Did they accept it in your case for warranty or did you solve it by yourself?
