Hi guys I have noticed another new problem with the car on occasional start up (warm or cold start) the fuel pump is really noisey, the noise goes away after driving for a few moments. I never let the fuel run empty always have at least a quarter of a tank in it. Car is a 2014 1.4 tsi 140 with 25k on the clock. This has only started in the last month. Any suggestions with what to do with it as it’s becoming more frequent.

Cheers

I have also recently noticed a very noisy fuel pump when turning on the ignition, but before I start the engine. Is this an epidemic, and is it covered under warranty?

I don’t use start/stop much at all, I will keep an eye on it and see how it goes. At least it’s not only me that’s noticed this and the car still seems to drive ok.

You can hear the fuel pump prime when you first turn the ignition on, that's normal. Mine makes like a high pitched noise sometimes as you drive off from cold, but soon goes off, and doesn't do it every time? I has not done it for about two weeks now.

Good morning
i have the same noise on my TDi, my car was manufactured on march, 2020. I never use start/stop because is deactivated each time that I drive the car (is my protocol before to start to drive  ) Any update or information from Seat?

Thanks.

That is, I can hear just start with cold temp, then we should understand is a "normal cold noise"? Thanks
Yep nothing to worry about, as long as its not there for more than 3 minutes since start. Anything more than this would mean something isnt right.. at -4 mine does this for maybe 1 minute.
