Hi, just joined up, been a lurker for a while, and appreciate the level of enthusiasm and knowledge on here.
I've never been a member of a one make/model forum before, barring a very brief dalliance with the Volvo Owners Club forum, who I found to be very cliquey, snooty and in some cases, downright rude, especially if, as I had, you owned a more mainstream/unloved model.
I'm a member of Autosh*te.com (hope the swear filter tolerates that!) and an occasional visitor to Ovalchat.
A bit of a car anorak, between myself and my brother we have owned (and DVLA registered) over 175 cars in a combined total of 51 years of driving!
My 2002 Leon Cupra (petrol) is my first foray into (long term) VAG ownership, and to be honest when I bought her, I was actually looking for an Octavia VrS; good old eBay suggested I took a look at these, and there you go!
I will post a new thread regarding my car's own problems - I daresay most have been covered in some detail previously, I know the leakage issues have, and that is my next job.
