Not a fun evening.

Beginning to go off my Cupra! Was driving into Cheltenham earlier and my temp gauge shot up from 90 to 110 (with alarm going) in less than a minute. Pulled over as soon as I could and opened up the bonnet - minor coolant leak and the tank was boiling, engine felt cold though. After letting it cool for 10 minutes, I set off to try and get to my friend's garage... made it half a mile before having to stop again as it was almost over 110 already. Phoned the RAC and when the guy eventually turned up, he just said it was probably the head gasket (without doing any checks), looked at the coolant bottle a bit and then left! With stops every 3 minutes, I eventually made it to the garage and they think its almost certainly the water pump... but they're full for the next week so can't do anything for now :(

Eventually got it home and spoke to one of my neighbours (owns VHub in Tewkesbury) and he's going to have a look at it this week and get the cambelt and water pump changed as a starting point.

This isn't my only issue with it at the moment... got these three fault codes on VCDS! :censored:

3 Faults Found
17705 - Pressure Drop between Turbo and Throttle Valve (check D.V.!)
P1297 - 35-10 - - Intermittent
17545 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Add)
P1137 - 35-10 - System too Rich - Intermittent
17947 - Clutch Pedal Switch (F36)
P1539 - 35-00 - Implausible Signal
Readiness: 0000 0000

Sorry for the essay! and any help/advice would be very much appreciated!

Thanks! the throttle body was cleaned and reset by the garage I bought it from the first time I had to take it back but the code has come back, so thinking something else is causing that?

Will get the garage to do a smoke test when I take it in for the cambelt and water pump... was planning on getting silicone hoses for Christmas but they will have to wait now! :(

New clutch was fitted 6 months ago according to paperwork, so guess someone didn't change it? Only had a quick look at it and its blue, would that suggest non genuine?

clutch switch

clutch pedal switches are blue
just check its fitted correctly and adjusted right
smoke test may not show up the breather issue
have a look yourself below the inlet manifold the small black hose coming from the manifold about no2 cyl area to the cylinder block below manifold about no4 cyl area
this hose always splits

Ok, I'll check have a look at the switch and hoses in the morning... I seemed to have lost pretty much all boost pressure when I was driving it back so that's probably something else gone wrong -.- might just get a replacement switch fitted while its in the garage as I know its been sorted then. Thanks for the help :)
