This is what i used to set my setting back in the day http://www.revotechnik.com/resources/uploads/files/SPS_AdvancedUserGuide_V0707.pdf page 7 is the important part and explains the settings better. Boost 7 and timing 4 or 5 is what i would run, i would also log timing pull to make sure your safe.

Bottom of page 10 explain's timing pull via vagcom block 020. If timing pull is more than 4 in any cylinder for sustained periods pull back the timing in the sps. Bottom of page 11 onwards elaborates further on this, read and make sure you understand that. It also shows the effects of advancing the timing too far.

Its a good read for understanding how your car works aswell for anyone with any map that uses vagcom.

You will be fine on tesco 99 or shell but i always use shell vpower.

Also been a 2007 car you will be running the old style DV located on the turbo, i would change it for the new version, i think we could be on revision F now but anything is better than the diaphram dv.

Back when I had my schoolboy live mapped, it was mapped on bp ultimate, I was also recommended v power, he actually told me the ins and outs of it being refined fuel etc, and puts to shame some cheap race fuels, he swears by it esp on the scoobs, let's face it if you begrudge spending en extra 5p on fuel perhaps tuning your cars not for you,

Thanks for all the replys guys. I took it for a blast. Gone through a tank tonight! Normal, spirited some motorway too with a mate. He swears its faster being in the passenger (not massivly though) seat so we swapped seats and told him to boot it...

Im still not convinced. I wont drive it for a few days now so hopefully when i go to fill it with 99 momemtum at a different station ill notice the difference.

Fml...

Lets be honest here, if its mapped properly then you will have noticed.

If you cannot notice the difference, its not been done right or somethings wrong, back on the phone to revo or somewhere that has an R&R to test the power.

what did it rolling rd the original time? theres a chance it was mapped before you bought it and didnt know, i know some one who bought a standard k1 only to find out it was mapped by superchips

The first rr it had a few ago. It made 213hp. It was an rr day but i was about 6th on and everyone else were saying their results were acurate from their other roads they have used. This was my first car to be rolling road. And it went like stink too. It made real use of what it had. (i ride 600 and 1000cc sport bikes so i know when im happy with the feel of power)

Book figure is obviously 197/200. But surely any sort of tuning by prior owner would see more than 13hp?...

Could the dv have gone so soon after a map? Would there be any symptoms?

Engine cutting out at low speed would be a symptom when the clutch is engaged. Obviously loss of power. You would have to log boost in vagcom to be sure. Tbh i doubt its the DV, something isnt right somewhere.

You could log your maf readings in vagcom, with a map the turbo should be pulling in more air.

If you dont have vagcom your pissing in the wind, get it on a dyno or get back to the revo dealer or find someone with vagcom in your area.

you should notice a huge difference. I already had mine remapped before revo was put on it and still noticed a massive change. I would get back to the dealer and get the settings changed as he doesnt sound like he knows what hes doing.

hmm your DV has split??? (diaphragm...)

Btw my TFSI Sport made 210-215 on the RR with a full turbo back exhaust system...without remap

Could you fit a boost gauge? Always helpful for not a huge outlay... if you can't work out whether your car has had a REVO stg1 map or not, then you either:

A) Don't have a remap
B) Were remapped already
C) Have a boost leak (perhaps a small split pipe that doesn't leak much with little pressure, but increased pressure from remap opens hole and you loose all that extra boost).

The app list on REVO states a huge 60bhp increase, and 90 lbft.. you would feel that!!

http://www.revotechnik.com/resources/uploads/files/VAG App List UK __ 301111.pdf

2.0T FSI
Stock bhp 186/197 REVO bhp 260
Stock 207lbft REVO 295 lbft

IMO

Mike

PS I am no expert on these "new" 2.0 engines, I was all about the 1.8T but I am sure the "feeling" of a stage 1 map over standard must be the same??

Do you have the sps?

If you do disconnect the battery for half an hour - 45 mins , reconnect it , drive the car normally for a few miles then boot it and see how it feels in stock mode , the ecu will have reset itself then started to learn again , after you have done that , connect your sps re activate Revo to the settings it was set at and go drive , this way you will be sure in your own mind that the map has made a difference or not.
If it still feels crap it's time to start logging and fault finding.

thought Tesco 99 was just as good as V-power ?

If your using 95 Ron then V-Power will make a difference, And if your using 95 Ron the car will feel pants

But if your using Momentum99 it should be fine

I run mine on Momentum99 and its been fine, i put a full tank of V-Power in the other week and felt no different and noticed no difference in MPG, a few Weeks ago i was running low so put £40 worth of Esso 97 ron and my god the car felt like cr4p, litterally felt like it had the map taken off it.

you should be able to run the same setting on tesco 99 and V-Power

I just dont understand why they said Momentum was crap fuel

Ah good point. That's probably it ^

The moral of this drawn out reply is stick with momentum :D there's info out there somewhere for reasons why

There's a lot more to it than that.....

Let's just say that I know John and I'm aware of the reasons why they've withdrawn their approval. I shall continue to use V-Power wherever I can....

This is exactly why i wont have a map on a car with graphs and afr's etc as even thought alot of dyno figures aint accuarate its a way to at least gauge and increase. If you cant tell the difference then something is not right. Id be taking it back.

And there is litterally no difference between Vpower and tesco 99, same timing should be used on both so ive been told by various tuners.

ive spoken to them, and they have said once ive filled with higher octane fuel to take it back and they will map it again.

would a boost leak make any noises? or just loss of power? i say this as when i boot it, i can hear the p-flo sucking like it used too but then higher up the rev range there is now a high pitch noise on full throttle. im going to have a look over all my pipes and hoses now, make sure there are no obvious splits or damage.

btw, i should have mentioned sooner i dont have a vagcom or an SPS! :/ i never planned on doing anything to the Leon but modding is a dangerous addiction! lol.

High pitch noise may mean boost leak so i would check all the hoses like youve said, end of the day matey if your not happy then they should do something about it, customer service can make or break a company.

This is the bit i dont understand as you had high octane fuel in the car

there words not mine
"there is better fuel out there"

me "what would you suggest as i use tesco premium"

them
"Shell V-Power for best results"

so, just so they cant turn around and say its my fuel i will go out of my way to get Vpower! so thats crossed off the list. and then ill try it again with momentum (if changing the fuel and mapping for the Vpower makes the difference)

i've just removed the P-Flo and installed it again, making sure everything is all tight and secure, checked everything i could whilst parked up on the road and it seems fine.
i will have to check the DV when im back in work on a ramp, i have a cam follower in my tool box so i plan on fitting that on Sunday too when i have a spare few hours.
