Not happy folks, stayed over at a mates house last night and came out to find that someone had dented in the bonnet in three places, im heart broken. The dents have streatched the metal so they cant be pulled out properly, and im not going down the filler route..

How much is a new one? £300? painting and fitting £150? sound about right? grrr..

Thats a real bitch. I went up to Reading the weekend on a boozer and was forced to leave my car in a dark street near the university. Was shitting it all night that i would wake up to find a battered car, smashed windows or it'd been jacked. Luckily! it was fine. But looks like some F*cks found yours :( £400 should be about right, sorry to hear it mate =/

Ive been quoted £130 paint, £100 labour, £175 bonnet.. then vat on top of that.. luckily is something you can replace, not like a panel that would have to be filled..

£130 will probably be paint & materials, so will cover things like sanding discs/paper, primer, basecoat, laquer, polish, cleaning stuff etc etc.. its on the steep side but then the labour seems very low to me (maybe 4 hours @ £25?).

The total price isnt bad if its a good job, at that price they wont be blending the colour into the tops of the wings - which is fine if they can get away with it.

What colour is it?

Most paint is supplied in two PK and in total will require at least 4 liters of paint 2 for base coat then 1 for top coat and and hopefully 2 for laqure maybe more

They allowed 3hours would do it.. Its a black magic fr, he said its a really easy colour to match and wouldnt need blending in.
