As i said above, i leave mine in 24/7, but you can certainly leave it in while the engine is running - that is the purpose of the Torque app, to view live data

are you ios or android? cant find a small ios one all seem to be android

The app we are using is Torque Pro/Lite on android. The interface that makes the app talk to the car is a Bluetooth OBD2 reader.

I don't know about IOS apps, expect that you should ditch you iPhone and get an android phone forthwith :p

Right, I have set this up as best I can and am getting nowhere. I managed a whole 71bhp on one guage and 120KW at the wheels on another guage (estimated 190bhp crank). Boost is always negative psi until I hit peak torque, then it hit 12psi.

So, what settings should I be using to make the app more accurate?

I havent really figured out how to use it properly yet but seemed to be able to use pro version better as you can set up a vwhi le profile that makes it more accurate.

Thanks, I do know others have said the same thing.

If you would remember I would be most grateful :D

I did remember, better late than never.. :)

Torque goes from 15 to 80 odd percent as mentioned, VCDS measures from 1 to 99 percent. Just down to the torque app, nothing you can do and nothing to worry about

Nice one Dan, appreciate you looking for me. That us one issue solved.

I have noticed that the coolant temp seems to sit at 82ish degrees, only going higher in traffic. Doesn't go over 92 or below 80, so not overheating or dropping to low and the guage on the dash sits at a solid 90 throughout. It just seems a little cool too me?

Is this on the Tfsi now? Mine sits between 90-94 without fail. The dash will always show 90 degrees, from memory anything from 75 to over a hundred will show a solid 90 on the gauge so as not to cause the owner to worry.

Yeah it's a pre facelift Tfsi FR. It does seem like mine is running a bit cool then. Any ideas, thermostat is working as it not overheating or running far too cold. What else could be the culprit?

Either the coolant temp sensor is slightly out or the thermostat is opening early, or not fully closing. Does the CTS read ambient when the cars been stood overnight?

Yeah, it reads ambient before starting after being stood. I made another thread http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=402622 about this, but it also seems to be hitting no more than 190bhp (160whp). Seems to run ok, just a lot less grunt. Could a dodgy stat cause that much of a power drop? It should be nearer 240 with the remap.

You cant use the iPhone bluetooth for anything except for connecting to a headset or to your car radio.

You can use this bluetooth dongle only with an android device.

For iphone you need a wifi dongle which is more expensive.
