Odd idle?

When i sometimes start my car up...it will rev to around 2.1krpm and stay there for 3-4secs and go down to normal idle..

Is this Right?

Its the automatic choke that kicks in when the engine is cold, the it settles down the warmer the engine gets. Mine does it too. I assumed they all do it?

Mine does this sometimes.

mine to, holds at 2100-2300 for few seconds then goes back down to normal.

i was thought it was the auto choke as it always idles ok when its been running for a few mins and engine gets to temp
