9 to 1 compression ratio but if looking into largeport heads like AGU and AEB are run at 9.5 to 1
Just to add some more irrelevant knowledge

Buring oil on over run, very large clouds!! suspects; valve stem seals or guides, so having the head ported polished and flowed and fitting ferrera exhaust valves, and fitting forged rods and new rings.

How many miles have you done Phil? Just curious to see the state of play on your motor. I'll maybe get the old compression tester on mine in a few weeks

No not going with the stroker, it worked out to expensive and what with an issue i have had to deal with i cant stretch to it now so getting the head ported polished and flowed and ferrera exhaust valves, new rods and yes IE but 19mm w/p i got them from Dave (DJP) together with coated bearings, i will then fit new rings, i have also asked Sam for a quote on a sm fly wheel and clutch kit but have not had a reply yet?? The head work will give a bit more power but not looking to go any further power wise now its got to the 300 mark, hopefully the rebuild will give a bit more but reliability and a strong engine, this is what i am after, i really want to stop having to use it as a daily and for work, get the respray and use it at weekends and the odd event.

Fair enough, just going to carry on doing mine progressively and i have a bigger turbo too so the increased displacement will help spool

Exactly the same as you 124000 :headhurt:

oh

*touches as much wood as possible*

I'm not burning oil (yet), 51 plate with AUQ lump.... here's hoping the old girl just keeps on going for the moment. Wanting to move and be able to get the car off the road, proper TLC time methinks! ;)

yeah i really wanted to go that way to but with the kit costing $2400 and then the additional engine work (rebore etc) it started to mount up, and you don't need a respray :p
