Oettinger chip. Upgrade to Jabba?? Im new!

Hiya, im new, just got my 03' Cupra R, upgrade from my 306 GTi-6. It has a Oettinger chip (255bhp) in it and this was done from new, so the warrenty is just out on it. Having read what has been said about re-maps and chips it sounds like Jabba and Revo are best. Is it worth me paying out to have mine re-done by Jabba or should i spend my cash on other things like dump valve, filter, exhaust etc. What things are best left standard on the Cupra R? Any advice would be great Cheers.

Spend it on other things.... its not worth updating yours for a REVO/APR stage 1, as there will be no difference.

Ok panel filter sounds like a popular extra and whats all the talk about improving the air box?

There are a couple of options, drilling the air box or smoothing the air box. To be honest I am not convinced the efforts are rewarded in performance by doing these, but definately get a K&N/Green panel filter and an uprated dump valve for your car, if it hasn't already, go for the Forge 007p dump valve.

Then a short shifter....... then a FMIC, then a exhaust system, then stage 2, then......................

I used to meet up with my old 306 GTi croud sometimes for rolling road days and the like, but now im ditching that lot as i have my lovely new Cupra R and i would just show them up!!!!

Yep we have one in Yeovil - Kaz a few near me (Weston-super-Mare), Bath and Bristol too......quite a few Exeter way.

Meets wise we have failed badly in this area though....a couple of us travel to the Birmingham meet which is a bit of a haul but good fun.

1 - I had the cash
2 - I was bored of the std wheels
3 - I had been running very had Carbon metallic pads, superb but turned my std wheels black and it didn't come off
4 - I wanted to be different
