They will still being doing big powered petrols. One thing that i did read though about the new Golf is that there looking at doing a model above the 180bp derv with a tweaked version of the twin turbo amarok diesel menaing 200bhp and a lot less lag. Would be perfect for a Leon Cupra diesel again.

I kow the amaorak derv is still tuned towards tq but look at the figures and the mapped figures!!

160bhp and 295LFt and maps to 213bhp and 390lbft tued more towards power and it will be a right giggle

So they have realised that 180bhp from the 1.4 was a little too much then. With all the oil burning I'm not surprised. 220derv sounds good but I doubt the leon would get it. I would be surprised if the leon got the VAQ differential!

The differences between MK2 & 3 are quite staggering.

- The front windshield is pushed back, I think by about 10cm.
- The MK3 bonnet runs a lot more straight, while the nose of the
MK2 tapers down a lot more.
- The silhouette of the side windows is more arched on the MK2.
The side windows of the MK3 run more straight to the rear.

Very nice image. I think, mk2 looks far more better in every way.

Much prefer the mk2 in terms of the body design.
The mk3 looks better interior-wise but apart from that and the LED lights it's a bit bland and boring, same with the golf and a3 IMO.
Looks a lot more Asian in design if you know what I mean.
Hopefully the 3 door and the cupra will be easier on the eye.
