Offset discussion

Hello to all.

I have Formentor with engine of 1.5 TSI and original wheels on it 245/40 R19 wheel size 8x19 ET 40. I would like to buy another wheels for winter so I am watching some wheels which dimensions are 8,5 x19 ET 35. I would put 245/40 R19 tyres on it and not lowering car. On the net calculator these wheels will be 11 mm closer to fenders than original. Anyone know will I have problems with fenders and tyres If I load car with lots of luggage? Does anyone buy another wheels and what wheels and offset dimensions ?

For winters I's go with narrower, smaller diameter rims - so and 18" or 17" rim and 7.5J width. Better choice if winter tyres that way too.

I have already buy winter tyres 245/40 R19 and decided to put it on OE wheels, so I want to buy wheels with some distance for summer
