Now I have changed working hours and get stuck in slow traffic most of my commute I'm thinking I am gonna finally go for the DPF delete. I know there are loads of threads about this but I just need help choosing between my two local places:

1. Shark in Mansfield
2. Statller in Sheffield

Both are similar costs.

Finally, at 62,000 miles on my FR, is it worth doing it at this stage of the cars life? and should I think about anything else at the same time such as EGR delete?

Thanks

Get the EGR delete fitted a few days before, you can drive around with the light on it wont cause any issues.

Id recommend Sha.rk because i have used them when i had my PD170 done

Shark gets my vote, I done an egr delete on mine before they did the dpf delete and remap, my cars only covered 45k and it was really gunked up so definitely worth doing that too, I used darksides egr race delete kit. One less thing to worry about.

I've just had mine done at 66k, barely run in for one of these engines, well any Diesel engine infact.

Do it, you won't regret it.

My PD170 changed when it hit 40k, MPG was alot better all of a sudden and it just felt better

62K is like being a teenager

I think I'll stick to Shark, also if I still have my Skoda club membership I think I get discount :)

If I was to get the EGR delete would I also need the EGR Cooler Delete Pipe and what difference would fitting these two parts have? Just wondering if its worth the £90 and is it a DIY job or get Shark to do it.

Thanks

Depends how good you are with spanners, I can do basic stuff, I took a few bits off and thought its to difficult for me so I paid a mate to do, the egr valve isn't hard to delete, its just the cooler thats a right pain.

Think I'm going to go to shark next month to get mine done. Once I receive my bonus from work :) What's this EGR delete you speak of? As you can tell I am not the most mechanically minded.

EGR valve is know on most diesel engines to block up after time, EGR delete removes the valve and replaces it with a pipe so it cant block up

Well documented on the internet

Shark £669 for DPF delete and Stage 1, then an extra £36 to fit the Darkside EGR delete kit/cooler delete and map that out FOC at same time.

Is it worth getting the EGR delete then, when going in for the DPF?

Have to go on a Saturday so will ring them soon and see what they have free. EGR stuff needs to be ordered from Darkside.
