OTA software update to 1940

My Cupra has just updated over the air to 1940…my Apple car play has now gone “widescreen” making all the icons smaller. Anyone else had this?

1940 does improve the icon size etc judging from other people who’ve upgraded on here.

How do you get the update? It’s a 2hr round trip for me to get to a dealer so it would help. Does it just pop up somewhere?

I wonder if I’ll get a notification if I’m on CarPlay? Might go for a drive around and see if it works!

Connect the car to WiFi and see if that helps? Do a reset on the head unit. Keep your finger on the off button for about 10 secs

I had a pop up last night when leaving work, but didn't install till I got home.

So the only change I noticed is Apple car play is smaller text and more icons

If you suffer rebooting issues then 1940 seems to fix it. Dealer did mine about 2 months ago as no OTA update available at the time and it was 'h'issing me off. Fine now. Only other thing I noticed (don't use car play) is the radio favourites row of stations would always be at the top of the screen making it difficult to select, they are now central.

If someone need, I have files for manually update for 1940 from 1896 and 1969 from 1940.

Factory reset and start over again. This solved mine. tried multiple times but still no luck

Left down corner (circle with 4 dots), settings. Ask seller. 1969 is the newest. 1940 is ok. 18xx is ****

To be honest, it doesn’t matter what version of the software it is, the system is utter crap!!
