Overheating?

come to think of it iv had a flash on my dash with every now and then with the (!) symbol would this have anything to do with it?

I'm having what seems to be the exact same problem with my Leon...... although there is some fluid dripping from underneath my car....... i don't know what coolant should look/smell like though so i've got a mate coming over......

This couldn't have come at a better time!
