Yeah thats what I found out as BCM says. When I was deciding on colours I was looking at getting a yellow LCR and looked into SCN and other peoples views and although it is a great colour for the LCR and really stands out, when it starts to fade the only real option is to get a full respray.

lol i posted this a while ago. . . .
There is no real way to get the paint colour back.
You can buy all the products in the world but all it will do is give it a real good shine. You need to deal with it before it gets to this stage.

To get the colour back, you will have to get a respray as some poeple have already said.

Once you get the respray then get all the products to give it a nice shine, but the trick is not to let it get that bad in the first place.

Im now stuck with a faded ovni yellow car with a good shine. :)

same here! ive nearly tried all of halfords brand, made an improveemnt but still it dosnt match the rest of the panels. Im just goner leave it, once i get the bumpers upgraded get the whole thing repsrayed.

that is my plan. i have three different colours on my car and it looks kinda funny.
My mrs doesnt notice it at all but it is there.
Halfords are rubbish for those product anyway. it will be quite expensive i think but it wont be the whole car i.e engine bay, door linings....so it wont be that bad.

Yeh thats true, from far it looks ok, but close up, the front end looks as if some glued it on, the bonnet, both wing are once lighter red colour and the rest the car bright red.

How long does paint work should last after it has been resprayed? espically its be's washe don a every 2weeks and waxed once a month or so.

it should last a while. mine was obviously not treated very well from new.

As mentioned in the above few posts, it all depends on certain factors, i.e where you park it, how often you wash and wax it. weather. lots of things.

I personnaly wouldnt wax the car every two weeks. im no expert but i dont think it is very good on the paint. not entirely sure though

I have not heard too much waxing damages the car. You can get a build up but no damage (I hope!!). Too much polishing yes, damages paintwork.

He says, hoping he is right after waxing the car fortnightly for ages.....

How long does wax suppose to last on the car for? so far mines last about a week, rewash the car and it becomes dull.
so far used turtle wax high gloss, Meguiars Nxt Generation Spray Wax, Meguiars Deep Crystal Carbauba Wax Step 3.
