Hi guys.. I'm driving a mk 2 Toledo TDi, 110 bhp, with ASV engine. Car was serviced in September by a mechanic and all was sound.. Today I serviced it, and when I took the plastic sump guard off, there was a part sitting in it. To me it looks like something off a motor, but I'm not exactly a master mechanic. The sump guard hasn't been off since last service so this could have fallen off a long time ago. It hasn't effected the performance of the car and it has been running perfectly.

There is what I can only presume is the part number on the part. it's acs3zm. Can't find that part anywhere though.

I have a couple of pictures but it won't let me upload them.. anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

does anybody know where i can search a part number without having to know what the part actually is?

This is just a guess but it looks very similar to a clutch mechanism for the air conditioning unit.

Pimped up vario you're a genius! thats exactly what it is! read on these forums that people have been quoted up on £1000 to fix this as the whole compressor often needs to be changed if there is damage! luckily there doesn't seem to be any damage to mine, the nyloc nut just must of come off! the shims from the back also cameoff so have to get them and good to go again!

thanks a million!:D
