Hi, I am new to CUPRA and have had my Terramar a week. I have been struggling with the setting to lower the passenger side mirror to view the kerb when reversing. Just when I think I have sorted it, I find I am driving with permanently lowered or it doesn’t lower like it did the day before.
Is it to do with the position of the switch? I am dreading trying to set it up as a memory position too. Any ideas?

@Kevin Deane - I’m assuming you followed the instructions in the owner’s manual to set the kerbside mirror dipping function (see screen shot below)? If so, then the procedure outlined should work, although be aware that reference in the owner’s manual to selecting position ‘R’ on the mirror adjustment control knob relates to left hand drive vehicles. For right hand drive vehicles, the mirror adjustment control needs to be set to position ‘L’ - i.e. for the door mirror that’s on the left hand side (nearside / kerbside) of the car when setting up the mirror dipping function and when using the function.

With the VW’s I’ve owned that had the dipping kerbside mirror function, I used to leave the mirror adjustment control in the ‘L’ position pretty much all of the time. The only two exceptions were 1) when I needed to use the mirror heating function or 2) to fold the mirrors in to give a little extra clearance when manoeuvring in or out of my garage.

Instructions from the Sept 2024 Terramar owner’s manual below;
