Im quite interested in getting these pedal caps (for DSQ), but i notice they say they are LHD only, but i cannot understand why  Are the pedals different between LHD and RHD?

Im tempted to just get them, but at £40 I dont want to just waste my money.

I'm fairly sure it's only the footrest that is different as it's on the opposite side of the footwell, but I see that the caps for DSG don't include one for the footrest?

I'm sure this has been discussed in this forum previously. Have a good search and see what you can find.

Hi ma9mwah,
I bought the manual set of pedals from this site and although they didn't specifically list a RHD model when I placed an order I wrote in the notes section I was after the RHD pedals (as the manual pedals are different I read in another post) and the customer service responded accordingly. Their CS is brilliant imo, replied to my emails very quickly and they sourced the pedal for me, took a few days longer.

You would think the DSG pedals are the same for LHD & RHD but you never know, worth asking them and if it turns out they can't source it they will give you a refund (I remember another member posting that they ordered the dead pedal for his DSG but RHD was not available and they refunded him the money)

Hi AJ,

How easy where the pedals to put on?

I did a similar thing with my ibiza and while clutch pedal was easy, i ended up having to super glue the break and accelerator pedal on.

Hi Phil, it was very easy to swap over the manual version and took me less than 15 mins to do. The clutch and brake rubber pedals just pull off. Once off you just replace with the aluminium ones, just match up the rubber plugs to the holes on the pedals and pull down firmly until snug.

This is what the rubber plug looks like on the back of rubber and aluminium pedals:

The aluminium accelerator pedal clips over the existing pedal. This is the most fiddly bit I found as it seems to only fit on in a particular way and it is a snug fit. But if you look at the back of the aluminium pedal you should be able to work out how it goes on.

Finished result:

Hope that helps :)

The pictures above are from a LHD car, where the deadpedal is against the doorframe. While on a RHD is against the centre tunnel.

We need something like this image to be made for the new model,
