Then you most definitely shouldn;t take your car on track. It can and has happened, and you have absolutely no comeback. If you're really lucky, you might get an apology

The silver Evo 8 that ran out of skill coming round the corner to the start finish straight crashing in to the M3 as it came out the pitlane and the Sierra Cosworth fishtailing hitting the Escort Cosworth passing it.
Almost certainly. But thats the risk you take. I would never take a car on track that I couldn;t afford to lose, because I know the risks.
For example, last year Knockhill reverse track, I had a brake hose fail going into the hairpin at 120ish. Luckily, I didn;t hit anything else, but if I had, would you have expected me to pay for their repairs?
I probably would have offered TBH, but I imagine I'm in the very few that would. And as much as I say I would have offered, if I'd just totalled someones £50k GTR or the likes, then I doubt I'd be in much of a position to fix it
lol that's what I said to Al via PM earlier, wouldn't want to be on a track full of radgies driving shitty old corsas or cars that arent track worthy.

I would offer to pay for someones repairs if I was in the wrong, but like you said, I don't know if they'd return the favour if it was the other way round!!!
I suppose it no different from racing each other about on public roads. Something that we've all been guilty of if your being honest.

I think by the sound of it Mr Betty Swollox is bigger than both of us dude!
The last trackday I did was a private one (invitation only) and everyone had to prove track insurance before they were given access to the track.........much better!
That would be the best way to do it
