Petrol in a Diesel Cupra !!!

Hi all,

Newbie here... Basically looking for some advice on my girlfriends Mk1 2004 (could be an 05?) Cupra Diesel.
In a nutshell she filled it with Petrol on 2 seperate occasions and drove a while till she noticed on both occasions. (numpty!)
It was drained and flushed etc but now when under acceleration has a nasty hesitation just for a split second, but it happens several times, one after the other.

Any ideas? Fuel filter? Fuel pump??

I'm no expert so thought someone may have had similar problems after this....

Change the filter for starters, surprised it wasn't done.

As Lee69 says - it screws the filters up. Do a search for more info as there is bound to be someone else who's done this before. Plus....... make sure she remembers this forever and a day as she would make your life hell if you'd done it. Of course, you might already be the guilty party really!!

Cheers for the replies will try the filters.....I'm sure you're right...could be my fault by default...
