As above, I've read a fair few threads now on how to fit face-lift LC/LCR side skirts to a pre-facelift but I'm not too comfortable yet to go ahead and do this, a few things a bothering me

1. Drilling in to the sill and putting a self tapping screw / rivet, eventually would lead to rust

2. Using the self clamping clips parts instead of the actual ones designed for the attachment, in theory it's just a clamp / clip made from plastic, some wear and tear the skirt will start to fall off or sag

I've got:

14 x 1M0853910B
6 x 1M0853139B
2 x Self Clamping Clips forgot the P/N

I've read:

and

Although I prefer the idea of rivets over self tapping screws, I want a perfect fit / finish, i.e it not sagging, it not falling apart.

So what I'm asking for is pictures of you folk who have a facelift LC or LCR with the side skirts removed, pictures of the OE clip positions underneath.

I've got all the tools required to drill / tap holes properly, I just want to see how and where SEAT have done it originally.

try and see if a breaker has one thats been removed Mo. I've previously fitted side skirts on other cars with rivets and self tappers and used a dab of clear silicone on the holes to prevent rust.
