Since buying the Cupra back in June/July I think I've washed it once... to be fair I haven't particularly looked after this as well as I could have :(

Now my 3rd of this make/model I know I need to get it sorted and give it some TLC. So far she's had a smoothed airbox, cold air feed, panel filter, 007P, and now, in 2012 I've finally got my ass in gear and done the cambelt/water pum (11yrs old, 65k..whoops), and this weekend just gone I finally gave it a proper clean.

So here she is... dirty little... car...

I won't go into stage buy stage detail, but 3 hrs or so later, after some washing, t-cut, autosol, wheel cleaner, and some Carnuba waxing..., she looked like this:

Really chuffed with the outcome... at this rate I may have to watch my wallet again...far to easy to spend and I already have some changes planned...

Cheers guys... I think Jabba will be on the cards this year, once I've replaced all the old 3mm hosing as it looks like its splitting all over the place lol

£11 off ebay for 6 M I think, 3 for N249 and I'll see what the other 3M will do too :)

I know I need a TIP, as that was a HUWGE difference before,...FMIC I'd like but last time I went Laguna route and I can't be arsed with that again, and I still won't pay £900 to forge... so I guess I'll stay stage 1 with this one (unless in the last few years another option has occured??!)

:)

For a TIP I'm going for a creation motorsport one. New kids on the block that have been making some other parts for a few years now. I noticed them on ebay at £72 for a TIP for a mk3 ibiza but seemed too good. Did some searching a quite a few leon lads on here run them and find them better then forge at half price!

Hope the link works. Also Intercooler wise I ran a ebay intercooler kit from universal intercoolers. It was £225 for the full kit but its too small for me so I'm getting there medium cooler and running the pipes behind the rad.

Don't get me wrong its not perfect but I managed to fit mine in about 2 hours behind the standard bumper with grill in for OEM+ goodness.

Hope thats of help

Did you have to cut that horizontal crash bar to fit it (the FMIC)?

TIP isn't too hard to fit is it? Could be tempted as for me that was one of the BEST upgrade, the OEM one is SOOO restrictive...

I know sssstew, stoopid SCN... lol

Nope didn't cut the crash bar as I wanted to keep the integrity. I used 2 pieces of threaded rod that went up between the crash bar and rad the secured it using an L bracket. Will post up a picture later. Can't see the TIP being too bad although I will be doing mine in the next week or two so will update you!
