Pipercross panel filter for mk1 LCR - silly question!

Just received a Pipercross panel filter for my LCR225. The silly question is, which way up does it go into the airbox? There's no fitting instructions that I can see and couldn't find anything on the Pipercross website - should the grille be facing up when I drop it into the airbox or the foam side?

Also, I thought this filter would be an oiled type. Certainly there seems to be some sort of oil on it, I could feel very slightly oily residue on my fingers after taking it out of the box, but the box has a sticker on it saying "Dry Filter - NO OIL" on it. Does this mean it doesn't need oiled every so often, or does it mean that I need to buy some oil and put it on the filter before I can install it?

Cheers - can't see the pic but I'll know that when I see it again, think the logo was on the side with the grille.

Any ideas about the oil thing?

Nice one, thanks again mate. Got it fitted yesterday, found some bits of straw and grit in the bottom of the airbox - didn't have time to clean it out but will open the box up again when I next get a chance to clean and hoover the car.

Do feel a bit more willingness to respond to the throttle now, just a wee bit but it is noticeable.
