You'd probably scrape the sump instead!
Yup.
Ragged mine off a few weeks back on a speed bump. Damged the drivers side inner wheel arch cover. took that off, which meant I had to take the "Plastic engine Undertray" off... (Or the "**** Shovel", as my grandpa calls it)
The thing I HAVE noticed ... is fuel economy. sounds silly, but with the cover removed my mpg has DEFINATLEY gone down.
Need to get round to fitting it again. I have all the bit's just been busy moving house. Garage is amost clear, so next weekend I may sort it out.
I reccomend you have a look at it and make sure it isnt hanging down aaywhere. the cover it'self is plastic, which seems to flex. But the inner arch covers it attaches to are fibreglass, and tend to snap. Check it's all im place and fitted right, then TAKE IT EASY over rough ground and speed bumps
