Afternoon All,

Sometimes poster mostly lurker here...

I managed to poke a rather nice hole in my cars sump last night whilst coming up my drive (the joys of living in an unfinished house...) so now my Leon is sitting awaiting a tow truck for repair, to keep my self amused I jacked the car up to see how big the hole was, whilst it was up I noticed there is a plastic sump guard type thing that appears to have been broken so I was wondering, do any of guys have a picture of the underside of your MK1 Leon Cupra because I'd like to know how far back that thing should extend. So far google images hasn't been much help.

Thanks

Not quite what you're looking for, but I hope it will help a bit

This is what my TDI undertray looks like:

The TDI undertray, from underneath

Undertraytopside.jpg

TDI undertray, top

In both cases, the front of the undertray is furthest from the camera.

From looking at the drawings of petrol undertrays, they are about 1/3 of the length of the TDI tray, approximately equivalent to the front section where mine widens from under the bumper to where the sides go parallel. The front two screwholes on either side pretty much define the section I'm talking about.

If your car is an LCR, then it should have a completely different, flat, undertray with ducts in it going the full length of the engine bay, so as long as the TDI one, but a very different shape.

Cheers Muttley - it appears I'm missing a few inches of the guard thing then.
