Iv been searching and cant find what im looking for? is there a guide on here on how to smooth the bumpers and plastic weld im thinking of gettin a second hand bumper and havin a go at this myself anyone done this themselves?

someone on here advised me that fiberglass and then skimming plastic bumper filler over the top is a lot cheaper / easier and should not crack! im in the middle of doing it so il let you know how that goes if your interested!!

I smoothed my lines that go around the bumper and the rear tow eye cover by using plastic bumper fill. Its really easy to do and way better then filler or fibreglass i wanted to do the bumpstrips but im just gonna smooth off the stipple effect and spray them the same colour as the car.

I got my plastic bumper fill from my local car shop i think its made by Isopon or if not you can get it off Ebay just look under plastic bumper fill.

just to warn you guy's i had my front bumper done at a body shop the guy did use filler on where the bumper strip did fit and put plastic behind it and the was of fitting the front bumper cracked the filler.

plus just to add if i was to do it again i would go to yellow page and find a local plastic welders and get them to do it. Then let your body shop finish it off. A member on here did it that way. Alot better job imo. Hope this help's
