Polo cage: Would it fit?

Would this fit my Mk2 16v?

now i dont know the answer, looks cheap though.

Just remember if you put one in, its a show cage and wont have the same effect as a proper weld in roll cage.

the Mk2 Ibiza rear suspension set-up is the same as a Mk4 Polo, so the suspension turrets 'should' be the same distance apart etc..... and with it being only a show cage, I can't see any major reasons why it wouldn't it.....

im not sure anyone will say if it fits 100%.
EDIT: (haha... backed up by the first 2 posts )

BUT... If you consider that a polo uses the same seats, and therefore same seat mountings, means the basic plan of the car is the same at the rear, ie... the bottom of the seat and back of the seat are the same as an ibiza.

So the back of the seat rests on the front of the rear strut towers which is where the cage will mount...

IMO i think it will fit the same, but then thats just my opinion. The car is the same width and everything where the cage would mount.

buy it - get it fitted, picture it and admire it.
Im sure you could sell that for the same price or more if for any unknown reason wont fit.

Got to agree though, the seating plan and floor areas are same as the polo.

I piad for this just now.

Got it really cheap, offered less than the Buy It Now and they sold it for that so if it doesn't fit I should be able to sell for at least what I paid for it.

It's coming from Belgium but they cite 7 days delivery which isn't bad.

I'll stick some pictures up when she's done.

Mk2 Ibiza has Polo floorpan so the bottom would tally up, not so sure it would follow the contours of the B pillars & roof.

I know a show cage won't improve safety at all, unlike a proper roll cage. But that's about the extent of my knowledge on them!

imagine actually crashing (bad enough) - now do it with a load of metal poles waiting to poke holes in your body.

that would look soooo cool.
