Pool of Water in Spare Wheel Well

Hello All, Decided to change my wheels front to back today to even out the tyre wear. I use the spare wheel in this process so when I went to get it, I lifted the boot floor and was greeted with about 2 inches of water in with the spare wheel. The water appeared really clean so my theory is that it's condensation.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

More likely the rear wash wiper?

That's common on a number of brands/cars and I know the mk2 Leon used to suffer from this as per the mk2 forum.

I didn't think of that. No smell of screen wash coming off the water however. I'd have thought that would be the giveaway

Something wrong there. Never had any damp in the spare wheel well on my FR in the 30 months that I owned it.

I would suggest either the tailgate or rear light seals are letting water in.

The rear light seals could be a good shout mate. I noticed a couple months ago the offside rear light has condensation in it so maybe there's a link. Been meaning to get that light looked at but keep forgetting....
