i would like to make it look better abit by painting the TIP and also my Throttle body intake pipe.

By powdercoating the matt black would that make things worse temperature wise?

Well paint is an isulation. So by painting my TIP and TB pipe, would that be better or worse as far as heat radiation is concerned?

The lower end of my TIP is real close to my pag parts T3 coated manifold. And i wanted to insulate the TIP due to temp radiatio. I currently have DEI tape installed and i also got dei tape to insulate the TB pipe but i am wondering if it would be better or worse temp wise.

On the other hand ceramic coating the TIP and TB pipe should be better. They charge 150 pounds for having these two pipes coated only externaly.

So if ceramic coating wond have any affect, i was thinking of just powdercoating those two pipes just for the better looks.

What you think?

So Keep it as it is with the DEI tape.
Powdercoat it for the better looks (only 20-30 quid)
Ceramic coat those two pipes (150 quid)

it would be normal practise to ceramic coat the hot things to keep their heat in, not the cold things to keep heat out if you get my meaning

Yes i understand Bill.

Ceramic coating for tubocharger and exhaust. For hot parts.

For the intake since its close to the exhaust manifold, wouldnt that heat up the TIP pipe?

Shouldnt i insulate it?

I am using DEI for now but i have no clue if its doing somehting or not.

Should i bother insulating the TIP at all or not?

and what about powdercoating those two pipes. just for the looks...

Would that be good or not (temperature wise for inlet air)?
