Power and MPG loss after timing belt change.

Hi there. Yesterday I had the timing belt and water pump changed on my 2010 2.0 TDI 170 by a reputable garage. Driving it back home I noticed it felt sluggish and was averaging about 10MPG lower than normal.
Could this be timing belt related, or coincidence and it’s something else?

Yes, both those things could indicate that they set the timing wrong! Phone them and ask if they can check it's set up properly
