When the new MY22 car was announced on 1st July they updated the specs and it looked like a fair few items had been dropped.

As I ordered my car on the morning of 1st July my order was based on the MY21 spec, but on coming home and checking something on the Formentor configurator in the afternoon after they had updated the Cupra site with the new MY22 info, I noticed the spec had changed for the worse and emailed the dealer to say that it looked like the following had been dropped from the standard spec.
  • Door mirrors (electrically adjustable, folding and heated)
  • Interior ambient lighting
  • Black headlining
  • Height-adjustable front seats
  • Driver and passenger seat with lumbar adjustment
  • Central locking system "Keyless Entry" with fingerprint "two-stage unlocking”
He emailed me back to say that the black headlining had changed to grey on the V1 and V2 and that the heated steering wheel was now standard on DSG models (I already thought it was standard) and “All other features remain as previous, although they may not be highlighted in brochure, they are still fitted.”

So from that I’m taking it to be that the folding mirrors and everything else not now listed is still standard.

just had a look at the vz3 even that does not mention power fold mirrors so i guess they are std across the range, strange how it does not say anything though, that was one thing i missed on the BMW.

Yeah, the 2021 spec highlights more of the standard kit, whereas now it is apparently still standard but just not listed. The change to grey headlining in the V1 and V2 is new for MY22 for some stupid reason. That is one thing I will miss on my V2, as my last three cars (all BMW) have had a black headlining as standard.

You would think they would be promoting the level of standard kit on their cars rather than not mentioning toys that customers want. My mate ordered a new MY22 BMW X3 M40i just two weeks before I ordered my Formentor, and he has had to order optional “packs” to get a lot of the items that are standard on the Formentor and it still doesn’t have a wireless charging mat that the Formentor has as standard, yet costs considerably more.

now don't laugh this is what I got back from cupra this afternoon re: mirrors...

Thank you for contacting CUPRA UK. I can confirm that the Electrically adjustable, folding and heated door mirrors are available as standard for the CUPRA Formentor V1 and VZ1 and not available on V2, VZ2 and VZ3 however, Electrically adjustable, folding and heated door mirrors with memory function are standard for the V2, VZ2 and VZ3. This information is available in our online brochure and pricelist which you can view here: https://www.cupraofficial.co.uk/con...021/cupra-formentor-pricelist-august-2021.pdf. Thanks.
so in English that means all of them ...:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yeah, electric folding mirrors on every model.

I noticed the memory mirrors from the July pricelist. Wonder what memory wing mirrors are, as I've never seen them before. Assume they are like the memory seats, if someone else moves the mirrors you press a button and it returns to where you like them?

Yes, they’re great, I have em on my Merc. When I put it it in reverse the passenger side mirror drops down to show kerb level.

That's good that they tilt when reverse. Had a Mini JCW that had that and it was a great feature to keep the alloys kerb rash free.

I always setup mirrors to fold automatically when locking. This way, I know if my car is locked or not by looking at it. On Formentor, they unfold when unlocking the car. In Audi they only unfolded when opening driver's door, so no pointless unfolding and folding, if you just unlocked car to take something from it.

Had a friend who didn't want to setup automatic folding, so mechanism doesn't wear out.
