Hey guys/girls,
Over the last couple of days my power steering has been cutting out randomly. First time it happened as I was turning left at a set of traffic lights, almost causing me to crash into a car on the other side of the road, and the second time I was driving straight along a road at about 20 mph. When it happens the warning light lights up on the dash, and the steering is extremely heavy.
Is there any reason why this could be happening? Hopefully it's something I can fix myself. I'm going to check the power steering fluid level in the morning, and top it up if necessary, hopefully that will sort it out, if not what's likely to be the cause of it?
Also, my car is under warranty with Arnold Clark, is this something I could get them to check free of charge?
Any help would be great, cheers!
Moff.
Forgot to mention, the Ibiza is a 57plate MK4 1.4 sport.
