hi guys i have the 1.4 sport and since ive had it the steering is soooo unbelievably light its ridiculous, some people would consider it a blessing but to me its kind of annoying,is there a way to get a little less response from it,it feels like a playstation steering wheel...

I wouldn't have said Ibiza steering is that light so could possibly been lightened for a previous owner.

Heard of people using VAG-COM to make the steering heavier for track days etc so you could give that a go?

Yeah there's a VAG-COM tweak you can do. I did it and it has really helped reduce the twitchiness on motorways (particularly when changing lane!). But for round town and parking it only makes a little difference, the steering on these Ibizas will always be a bit light.

I know what you mean, is the least favourite part of my car. I took mine to JKM to try and get it weighted up but did not work for some reason. I'm not sure if the Cupra is alreday set heavier? Feels so light after driving the Mrs mini which has a lovely weight.

you can adjust the amount of assitance your steering wheel recieves, i used VCDS lite you can buy it off ebay (CD and cable). mine was set to the lightest setting now on the hardest which is an improvement

thanks for your time guys, have you any idea which setting in vcds light?my friend has the software and cable so might be worth a bash! its mainly at high speeds e.g. motorway lane changes as mentioned above its almost into a swerve on the correction  it might be the fact im just not used to owning a car with PAS but ive had it near on 7 months and it still catches me off guard
