Hi there I've got a 59 plate sc sport, and today due to the cold snap, the battery was dead. Even though seat have fixed this with a software update three times.

I've had to jump start it and now my steering wheel light is on on the dash and there's no power steering. Anyone tell me which fuse it is as I think that's the problem?

Cheers in advance.

If the light is on the fuse should be ok.

Fuse 1 is the PAS and engine operation fuse

My mk4 used to show the steering light when it's battery was getting knackered.
After fitting a new battery i never saw the steering light stay on again

Check the battery connections
My pas light came on I thought I had knackred it by removing the battery when it went flat
But I had moved the fuse and it wasn't making contact propely

Sorted now, i changed fuse 1 and it seems to have fixed it!

Glad there wasnt a problem with the PS though

I did the same thing on the wifes SC. Jumped it from mine and the dash PAS light lit up on hers. Ended up being the big ally fuse block that sits on top of the battery ! Cost me £17 to replace it !
