hello, and before i start i know theres been numerous threads on this but i thought id just share my views on it.
I bought the powerflex dog bone bush last week for a meer 20 quid. My mate who is a mechanic fitted it for me, i know some people will say it isnt hard. but hey if theres a ramp to put it on it is soooo much easier. I will warn people though as others have said, the bolts do have a tendancy to snap. 1 of mine snapped clean off but after a soaking in wd40 it came out very easy. Another thing which people may find difficult is once you have put the bush in, the bolt is not long enough due to bush being bigger, so some sort of clamp would make life alot easier when getting the bolt into the thread nut.
So my initial test drive i had mixed feeling about it, yes the car does feel so much better. gear changes are very smooth, and makes a hug difference to acutally putting the power down in 1st and 2nd. so in that respect worth its weight in gold.
now the downisde is there are slightly more vibration within cabin on idle and pulling away. ive only had it on a couple of days and already i think it has subsided a bit. im actually getting to quite like it, but its not to everyones taste. mainly due to the fact the car was so smooth and quite at idle and pulling away to start with.
thankyou for reading and will look forward to hearing your thoughts.
