Arosa prices are crazy, you get seriously cheap ones, ones way over what they are worth and ones in the middle.
So its hard, obviously if your selling you want as much as possible for it, but if your buying you want to pay as little as possible, but still getting one of the best available.
I bought my 2003 1.0S Arosa in December 2004 for £3700, now i thought that was a bargin for a 18 month old car, id not seen any others around that price at the time and it was the first one i saw (i wasnt actually looking for an arosa i just stumbled across it and liked it so much i had to have it!) so i bought it.
I recon now its worth about £3200, so its lost £500 in 3 years and 20K later, all ive ever had to buy for it is 4 tyres and a few services. Now thats what i call cheap motoring.
When i bought my 2002 Arosa TDi i think i got a good deal then too, its just finding the good deals i guess.
They are cracking cars though, and my 1.0S is worth far more to me than £3200 so its staying with me, it looks mint and its still lowish mileage, especially with lots of new bits which were replaced under warranty, including a new engine replaced under warranty 13,000 miles ago, its practically brand new!
So what im saying is just keep a look out, i keep seeing people buying arosas for bargin prices, so they are out there. Although Automatics are fairly rare and seem to be priced quite highly too.
Oh: and dont take much notice of parkers and the likes, they always seem to value way under what its worth, the best bet is looking on autotrader for a similar car to yours. Ive just read that in the autocar this week too, to its good advice.
The best used guied ive seen is the one in autotrader, ever now and again there is one towards the back for superminis, and it values a 2004 1.0S arosa for about £2K i mean what on earth!
