I've never tried replacing all the logos with the logo database, that's a techie way of doing it. The official way I detailed here:
It's that time again for a new radio station and getting the logo to match Circa 2018 Mib2 units came with the radio logos pre-installed now they are transmitted over the air on some stations others they are not or incorrect ones. The BBC...
www.seatcupra.net
That gives you the key actions on the infotainment screen. For the regular ones that get transmitted it's a double tap. For example if you pick up R4 it will show you a missing logo then you do a finger dance on the screen and it will save each one at a time if they are being transmitted over the air. Commercial stations / new stations don't transmit it or it belongs to the previous station that belonged to the dab reference. That was the issue in the Times Radio one in the link as a worked example.
If they are not transmitted then where do you get the extra ones from. When Vag fully supported mib2 with additional bits and bobs you used the Vag ones. It's a file of png icons of the correct size. Next came along the use of the media.info website as in that link above... after Vag stopped distributing that file... but the official method is the same as the media.info method. They reference
how to do it from their pages. In case they have changed it from when I documented I'll show the Times Radio one again how they detail it.
<<no some rearrangement of the page but you just fill the top search box, save as png file type

Then came the scraping one where a SeatCupra poster wrote a script to scrape all off the media.info logo files from their site... suspect they might not have been pleased about that. That produced one that you could slot in as if you had rebuilt the system. That's the type mibsolution.one would publish if it worked.
Then came along the phonostar solution one but the issue with phonostar, we know they are missing a number of commercial UK stations, the bain of mib3 where you can't add your own logos... only phonostar logo files but missing the mib3 seat / cupra Id plus the normal commercial missing radio stations. So that's not a good solution it's incomplete.
I use the method which Seat / Vag wanted you to use as shown in the Times Radio example above. Which I call the
infill method.... perfectly adequate to get the odd few missing stations in. Media.info as the source logos.
Now along the development line of the firmware. Originally the cars seemed to come with all logos kitted out on the buttons. They changed that to the finger dance of selecting the station. Finger off and back on to save it. It may be new to you. Was to me when I got the 2016 firmware updated in the
Ateca in 2018, but was on the 2019 Arona. The finger dance to save the logo might have always been there. I think this is the old issue you read in posts where they accidentally delete all their logos. They have to bring each one back at a time with the finger dance if it's being transmitted or the
infill method if not.
Personally I'm happy with the 16 or so stations I keep on my favourites menu. Just in filling the odd one or two with missing logos and save to favourites. Those people that like a huge range of commercial stations may be troubled with missing logos but least it can be fixed in mib2 unlike mib3 where customisation has been removed.
