Problem with odometer mileage clocking up 10X faster than normal!

hi all i have this very strange problem with my car!
on both the odometer and the trip computer the milage is going up around 10x faster than normal!!

the speedo reading is fine, the rev meter is fine.

on the trip computer when i am cuzing at around 70 mph it shows that i am going 200mph on average.

please advise what this could be to fix this issue as my mileage is clocking up really fast!

has your gearbox been apart recently for your install?

sounds like the VSS has been messed up

no all they did was move the sensor round a bit not actually remove it!

the speedo works fine and the speed is correct in vag com when i log it!

it seems there is bad calculations on the computer. could replacing the actual speedo unit work?
