Problems with auto-adjust mirrors when reversing?

So I am trying to get the wing mirrors to automatically adjust when reversing but they don't seem to want to.

If I have the mirror 'knob' turned to R like it says to in the manual they do nothing same as if they are in O but if they are on L the left and only left dips when reversing.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I have a fault with the car?

It is only the left (passenger side) that should drop. This is because it is to see the kerb when you are parking.

Works just as Marve stated.
As you probably guessed the owners manual was written for lhd cars and then altered for rhd cars, only in some areas of the manual they forgot to change to allow for things being on the other side in rhd cars

Thought this might be the cars, just thought it woukd be handy for both to drop for us on car parks for instance.

I use that feature a lot on my Golf and it will be deeply missed. Too bad it wasn't a feature of the convenience pkg. I'm sure it's easy to implement.
