Question about wheel size

Im looking for a pair of alloys for my new cupra as it came with some i dont like, im looking at audi ones on ebay, but what size of off set should i look for? i take it the cupra facelift is 5 stud? the ones im looking at are 18'' but is there a certain size/width i should go for?

5x100 PCD (stud pattern), 7.5j or 8j (wheel width) ET35 to ET38 (offset)

thanks mate, i dont understand that wheel width, would 225/40s be ok?

say ones of an audi TT or A3?

Yes they are fine.

as loong as its an old a3/tt the new ones are 5x100
the 225/40 is the tyre, the width of the wheel is what is important 7.5/8j

Newer ones are 5x112
