Hi all, ive recently been in touch with a vag specialist garage in northampton called bahnstorm. I asked for a quote on a remap and i thought i might aswel get and uprated clutch to prevent any slipage etc. So ive been quoted £420 for sachs clutch supplied and fitted and £430 for a remap which they said would take it to around 170 bhp. So has anyone used this garage? Prices quoted good? And would the sachs clutch be up to the job on the remap? They didnt say the brand of the remap, i will try to find out. Thanks

Seems a bit much to me. You could get a remap for around half the quoted price and I imagine a clutch could be £100 or so cheaper

Ah right. Thanks for the quick reply. I was under the impression that a sachs clutch fitted would have been in excess of 600 pounds? I knew the remap was abit expensive. Would a sachs clutch be strong enough for a remapped 130?

Bahnstorm just got back to me. Its a revo remap and he said the sachs clutch will be more than capable enough to withstand the remap. Any experience of revo or sachs?

Warwickshire once.
Sounds to me like you need to be getting a few quotes from different people so that you can compare for yourself.

Check out the tuning section on this website and make sure that each garage quotes for the same kit.
