glad you got it sorted mate.

mine is still playing up...its up and down like a yoyo

last night it went up to 3/4's then i stopped the engine for 30 seconds. when it came back on it only went half way and stayed there for the rest of the journey home ?!?!?!?!:confused:

Thanks alot and hope u can fix ur car soon. :)

Try checking the internal thermo inside the water pipe. it blocks the hot water from entering the engine, may be it is not fuctioning rightly.

also check the fan control module, as mine the fan was working sometimes and sometimes not .

Ok, mine has gone into the garage this morning ( a little local garage I have used for years, kind of place that don’t charge you for replacing a bulb )

Anyways, Ive told him the problem with the temp gauge and he’s looked over it and he recommended a new temp gauge / sensor…

Anyways, he’s just called me to say he cant get the part anywhere ???? so I am just going to leave it !!!!

Ordering the coilies today, very excited.

I used to have a mk2 fiesta and the thermostat would jam all the time....

... I had drive around with the interior heater on full and open all the windows to try and cool the dam thing, I hated that car.

I had the same problem with a 1988 Mk 2 Fiesta about 5 years ago. Was about to get out and leave it sitting in traffic in Belfast one summer for exactly the same reason. I was almost dead with heat exhaustion!
