Seat ibiza mk4 dab edition 1.4, when my car is up to temperature and I get the biting point of the clutch there is a weird rattling noise which is quite loud, but if I add revs it doesn't rattle, also if my car is still at cold temperature and I get the biting point there is no rattle? Also if I'm on low revs and accelerate you can hear the rattle but not as loud, car still drives fine can select all gears perfect and clutch is fine it's not slipping and pulls like new, car has only covered 28000 miles. I had a mk6 fiesta which made this rattling noise but it was the catalytic converter just strange how on my ibiza it only makes the noise on biting point when setting off?!, if anyone could help it'll be much appreciated! Thanks

Can you hear it outside the car or only inside?

Any noise when going over bumps or broken road surfaces?

Does the noise change with engine speed?

Can you get someone to work the clutch while you look at the open engine bay?

This might help us narrow it down a bit. Could be anything really, I'm suspecting maybe an exhaust bracket, heat shield, or even some interior trim.

My 06 1.4 sport squeaks and rattles like mad now, mostly from interior trim that needs a bit of lube or tightened up. It happens especially during that judder you get from low revs, like just before the car is about to stall.

You can only hear it very faint from the inside but it's louder from outside, yes there is a knocking noise when going over bumps but that's due to bushes needing replacing. I'm going to get it up on a ramp and have a look round thanks for your help
